Omegle TV - A Cross Between a Date Site and Camsite

I might be a little confused but is it just me or is the concept behind OmegleTV actually really cool?

It's supposed to be a blend of a dating site and a cam random chat site.

Like Facebook or Twitter but with camming as the introduction.

But that said, I haven't tried it. Is it worth trying?

Or is the whole thing just a play on words?

I checked it out. It's a little irritating because it forces me to sign up with Facebook or Google, or something called VK ID. (I don't want to know)

The site even asks for your Facebook password which doesn't seem safe to me.

Anyway, once you sign in you can chat with people (mobile or website) and it is free of charge.

You choose gender, (or couple) and start swiping until you find someone you like.

In addition to the random chat you also get to view "profiles" and photos and get followers/friends. So it does combine some of the Facebook style options with "anonymous cam sites."

Not so anonymous, I guess?

There is no time limit on the apps so that's good. Ads are not too invasive and you do get a translator tool in case the other person speaks another language. I don't think the concept is that innovative.

A lot of sites have incorporated social media features into the traditional dating format, like AdultFriendFinder, OnlyFans, etc.

I don't even think this is an "adult" site. Seems more like Facebook Lite to me.

Isn't it called OmeTV now?

OmeTV does have a lot of users and it has an OK mix of male and female.

I think the security is a little overboard though.

It's too easy to get banned.

That, and people skip so much. Before you can even say hello you get skipped or spammed.

Thr translator is cool but sometimes it messes up.

In short, yes it is interesting and worth a look because it's free. But it's not all that different from ChatRandom or what have you.

I hate to be one of those people

But OmeTV is mentioned as a site with some problems. NOT the site's creators mind you, but there are individuals on the site who are trying to blackmail people.

Like people say they get DMs from people who threaten to spread some photo or scandal secret to all their followers. They threaten to expose you.

But don't worry. These scams are usually really low quality, like people who don't even know how to properly blackmail anyone. They just like scaring you.

Don't show your dick and face on camera and you should be fine.

Still though...I don't see a lot of that on Facebook. So I doubt it's as great as everyone says.

Well the video camera atmosphere of OmeTV is probably what draws in those weirdos.

But in honesty, yeah every site has jerks joining it and misbehaving.

And that is why the site has heightened moderation. Annoying for some, but appreciated by others.

It's not really a sex site, in my opinion. It is something new.
